MISSOURI VALLEY, Iowa. (KMTV) — Missouri Valley firefighter Jeff Bierbrodt, 35, is in jail following numerous charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and child pornography possession.
Bierbrodt was arrested Wednesday evening in Missouri. He is currently jailed in Johnson County on $100000 bond.
His charges include three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor child, three counts of possession of child pornography (1st offense) and one count of furnishing pornographic material to a minor.
Court records show the victim is 16-years-old.
No additional information has been released regarding the charges. He is currently on administrative leave from the Missouri Valley Fire Department.
Bierbrodt is due back in court on Wednesday.
The Missouri Valley Fire Department issued the following statement on Facebook:
"FIREFIGHTER Jeff Bierbrodt was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case the moment we were made aware of his arrest. This in no way reflects on the great men and women of the Missouri Valley Fire Department and our commitment to the citizens of Missouri Valley."
