Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash near 11th and Locust

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A motorcyclist sustained life threatening head injuries north of the 11th and Locust intersection Tuesday.

At 12:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area. Investigation revealed a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle was traveling northbound, speeding on 11th St.

As the roadway began to curve, the motorcyclist tried to brake; however, both he and the motorcycle left the roadway, striking a tree.

Omaha Fire Medics transported the motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Antonio Davila of Council Bluffs, to Nebraska Medicine.

Davila is being treated for serious head injuries which are considered life threatening.
