OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha was full of color Saturday, showing love and support for the LGBTQ community as the pride parade and Heartland Pride Festival took place.
The parade marched through the Old Market, continuing with the festival at Baxter Arena.
This year's event marked the 50th year since Stonewall--a rebellion where members of the LGBTQ community in New York City resisted a police raid and caused days worth of protest, leading to a push for equal rights.
