Omaha Police investigate three shooting incidents over weekend

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating three shooting incidents that happened over the weekend.

Saturday at 5:27 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert near 28th and Browne St.

While police were en route, dispatch said a male was calling 9-11 from the area of 52nd and Fort St saying he had been shot near 28th and Browne.

Officers made contact with the victim, 41-year-old Terrell Jones. Jones said he was driving when an unidentified person in a maroon car shot at his vehicle, according to Omaha Police. One round struck Jones' vehicle.

Omaha Police responded to the area of 26th and Bristol St at 2:18 a.m. Sunday after reports of an attempted felony assault.

Officers talked with 22-year-old Keanu Franklin who said he was driving with his mom when they were shot near 27th and Bristol St.

Franklin told police multiple shots were fired and two males were standing at the side of the street.

At 4 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Nebraska Medical Center to investigate a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Officers spoke with 24-year-old Deandre Qualls.

Qualls said he was shot in the 4700 block of north 40th St.
