Omaha Police investigate three shooting incidents Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are looking for information on three separate shootings that happened overnight Sunday.

Officers responded to the CUMC-University Campus at 12:20 a.m. after a shooting victim, 24-year-old Jared Gooden, arrived at the hospital.

Gooden said he was walking near 22nd and Lake when he was struck by gunfire. He was unsure who fired the gun.

Police responded to the area of 24th and Burdette after hearing gunshots nearby at approximately 2:12 a.m.

Officers located 22-year-old Calvin Strong suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics transported Strong to Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition.

Another shooting occurred at 28th and Lothrop St, where officers responded at 2:57 a.m.

Authorities located 41-year-old Denovous Brooks with an injury. Brooks said he was shot by two unknown males.

Medics transported Brooks to Nebraska Medical Center.

Investigation into all three incidents is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP. Tips leading to an arrest in a shooting are eligible for a $10,000 reward.
