OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday morning at the Creighton Federal Credit Union.

Officers responded to the scene at 2575 Dodge St at 9:15 a.m.

Investigators determined a black male entered the bank, said there was a bomb outside and demanded money.

The suspect received money and fled, then was located in Council Bluffs.

Investigation into the robbery is ongoing and charges are pending.

The Omaha Police Department says a suspect is in custody after he was stopped by the Council Bluffs Police Department.

They say 39-year-old Michael Hymes was booked in Council Bluffs as a fugitive from justice and will be extradited back to Omaha to face robbery charges.
