OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating a cutting that happened early Sunday morning that left two injured.

Police responded to a cutting call at 4338 North 31st Ave at approximately 4:46 a.m. where officers made contact with a man who claimed his nephew had attacked him with a knife.

The man suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Officers were notified that the nephew went to CUMC-University Campus. Medics then transferred him to CUMC-Bergan Mercy for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. While police originally said there were conflicting stories about what happened in the incident, online records show that the uncle who had claimed he was attacked, 50-year-old Thomas D. Moore, has been booked into the Douglas County Corrections Center.
