Omaha Police respond to cutting, shooting incidents

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Officers responded to a separate shooting and cutting incidents overnight Saturday.

At 2:25 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a walk in cutting victim at Nebraska Medical Center.

The victim said he was approached and stabbed in his side and back as he was leaving Bar 415 at 415 S. 13th St.

Officers were unable to locate a scene and the victim sustained non-life threatening wounds.

Omaha Police says there is no suspect information currently available.

Police responded to a call of shots fired near the 2500 block of N. 48th Ave at 2:12 a.m. Saturday.

Officers learned of a white SUV leaving the scene and located it as the vehicle that was driven to Nebraska Medical Center.

Authorities located 29-year-old victim, in a vehicle, who was suffering from a superficial gunshot wound that is not considered to be life-threatening.

A suspect was not located and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
