OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 19-year-old woman sustained a serious injury after losing control of her vehicle and colliding with a concrete median Friday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched at 4:53 p.m. to I-480 N, just south of Martha St, after reports of a personal injury crash involving a single vehicle.
Omaha Police say a 2002 Chrysler Sebring was traveling northbound on I-480 N, approaching Martha St, when the driver lost control and swerved to the left.
The driver, 19-year-old Adelita Molina, collided with the concrete median. She was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Molina was transported to Nebraska Medicine by Omaha Fire Department medics.
Molina suffered a serious, non-life threatening injury to her hip and a minor head injury.
She was cited for no proof of insurance, seat belt, fixed object collide and negligent driving.
