OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Approximately 17,016 OPPD customers throughout Sarpy, Douglas and Pottawattamie County experienced power outages Saturday.
OPPD issued the following update:
4 p.m. – Crews have determined the issue causing an outage impacting more than 17,000 customers in the Papillion and La Vista area is likely due to a wiring issue in a substation.
Crews are working to make repairs to that southwest Omaha substation that caused 9 circuits to lose power. Barring any unforeseen problems, crews should have power restored to those customers by 6 p.m.
