OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Around 5:15 p.m. Monday, a pedestrian sustained a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle while crossing 44th & Dodge St.
Investigation revealed a northbound pedestrian, 65-year-old Courtney Quinn, Jr., began crossing Dodge St while traffic had the right of way east and westbound.
Quinn was struck by a westbound 2007 Kia Rondo, driven by 22-year-old Lindsey Wetzel.
Wetzel was uninjured while Quinn was transported with serious head injuries to Nebraska Medicine.
Traffic lights at 44th & Dodge were working at the time of the crash.
Westbound Dodge St was re-opened at 7:00 p.m.
