OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating a shooting that left one with non-life threatening injuries late Friday.

The shooting occurred near 50th and Bedford Ave. Officers in the area of 45th and Wirt St heard gunshots nearby at 10:15 p.m.

Soon after, a green Ford Taurus flagged the officers down, Omaha Police says.

Roderick Hurst, the 19-year-old driver, told officers he was shot.

Hurst was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center by Omaha Fire Department medics.

Officers determined occupants in a silver vehicle shot at Hurst's car.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
