GUIDE ROCK, Neb. (AP) — Authorities in south-central Nebraska say rescue crews are searching for two men missing in the Republican River at Guide Rock.
Station NTV reports that dive teams began searching for the men Friday afternoon. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office says someone reported that the two were fishing at a dam on the river when they were pulled underwater by an undertow.
Fire and rescue squads from Guide Rock, Red Cloud and Hebron/Deshler also were called to help in the search.
The search for the men continued Saturday morning.
