Three arrested in connection with vehicle burglaries, gun trafficking in Sidney

SIDNEY, Iowa. (KMTV) — Fremont County authorities say they have arrested three males in connection with vehicle burglaries and firearm trafficking in Sidney.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office took numerous reports of items stolen from unlocked cars in Sidney on May 10. One of the items reported stolen was a firearm.

Zachary Clark, 22, and Tristen Braunschweig, 22, both of Sidney, were arrested in Stanton County, NE on May 17.

Michael Harris, 33, of Council Bluffs, was arrested on May 29.

Clark and Braunschweig were charged wtih 3rd degree theft, 3rd degree burglary and trafficking in stolen firearms. Clark is being held at the Fremont County Jail on $9,000 bond while Braunschweig is being held in Nebraska on separate charges.

Harris was charged with trafficking in stolen firearms. He's being held at the Fremont County Jail on $5,000 bond.
