GILTNER, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested a North Carolina man Thursday, seizing approximately 270 lbs of marijuana and several thousand THC cartridges in a traffic stop along I-80.
At around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, a trooper saw a Dodge Ram pickup make an improper lane change near Giltner at mile marker 324.
A NSP K9 detected a controlled substance coming from the covered bed of the truck.
Troopers searched the vehicle, discovering approximately 270 lbs of marijuana, more than 3,000 THC vape cartridges and 2 lbs of THC concentrate.
David Shang, 27, of Raleigh, North Carolina was arrested for possession of marijuana -- more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver and no drug tax stamp.
Shang was taken to Hamilton County Jail.
