Two juveniles injured after speeding, crashing into porch

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Two juveniles were injured Monday evening after speeding and crashing into a porch.

Both occupants of the vehicle weren't wearing a seat belt and the driver didn't have a license.

Officers responded to the crash at 4:49 p.m. Monday near 1015 S 27th St.

Investigation revealed a 2010 Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on S 27th St at a high rate of speed.

The Toyota left the roadway in front of 1019 S 27th St, crossed the yard and struck the porch of a house at 1015 S. 27th St.

Two unrestrained occupants of the vehicle were taken to Nebraska Medicine.

The driver is being treated for chest and back injuries that aren't considered life-threatening and is being cited with willful reckless driving, colliding with a fixed object and no driver's license.

The passenger is being treated for minor aches and pains.
