Two seriously injured in 60th & State crash

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A personal injury crash at 60th and State St Wednesday afternoon seriously injured two.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 12:58 p.m. Investigation revealed a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup was speeding while traveling northbound on 60th St when a 2019 Chevy Malibu, stopped at the State St intersection, pulled onto 60th.

The Dodge struck the Chevy causing both vehicles to veer off the roadway, authorities say.

Diamond A. Marks, 20, was the driver of the Dodge. Marks has serious abdominal injuries and charges are pending.

Her two adult passengers have non-life threatening injuries to their legs and head.

Joseph R. Covrig, 36, was identified as the driver of the Chevy. Covrig has serious abdominal injuries and was transported to Bergan Mercy.
