OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today, Westlake Hardware stores in the Omaha area will kick off their annual fan drive, benefiting The Salvation Army.
"Now more than ever, many people are facing unexpected hardship and fans will help provide some needed relief from the impending summer heat," the business said.
Customers can round up their purchase at the register to help purchase box fans, which reduce energy costs throughout the summer months. These fans are distributed by the Salvation Army for qualifying individuals during the month of July.
Last year $4,500 was donated by Westlake customers, buying 300 fans.
The drive continues until June 21.
Those who prefer to give online this year, can donate at westlakehardware.com/fandrive [westlakehardware.com].
