OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Monday, all K-12 students, minus those who opted for remote learning, returned to Westside Public Schools for in-person learning.

While the district has returned to an in-person model for many of its students, a remote option will still be available for those who want to continue it.

Westside provided the following information about remote learning applications for those who are interested:

  • For our current K-6th graders, an application will be emailed out on/around November 10th where families will indicate if they want to participate in extended campus/at-home learning for 2nd semester. These K-6 applications will be due by December 1st. The application will include an updated explanation of what our extended campus/at-home learning option will look like for 2nd semester.
  • For our current 7th-12th graders, an application will be emailed out on/around October 27th where families will indicate if they want to participate in extended campus/at-home learning for 2nd semester. These 7th-12th grade applications will be due by November 13th. The application will include an updated explanation of what our extended campus/at-home learning option will look like for 2nd semester. Some of those details are still being finalized.
