LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — On Thursday, Bryan Health provided an update on vaccination efforts in Lincoln.
Officials said they are in a good place with vaccine distribution and many staff are already on their second doses.
President and CEO John Woodrich said 8,100 have been administered within the health system and many staff members already completed their full vaccine courses.
When asked about how the health system feels about rearranging prioritization groups, Woodrich said it won't affect healthcare workers as much, but the system may get overwhelmed at the state level.
In regards to storing some vaccines, Woodrich said the health system is following a strict schedule of spacing out vaccinations so staff can take a day off if they experience side effects.
He said absolutely no vaccines are going to waste.
