OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — As coronavirus cases come in throughout our area on Thursday, KMTV will update this story with the latest numbers. Check back often for updates. The latest updates will be posted at the top. You can find school cases here.



  • The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) reported 126 new cases of COVID-19 that were received by midnight the previous day. This makes 16,505 total cases in Douglas County since the outbreak began in March.
  • During the past 14 days, there have been 86 confirmed COVID-19 cases in K-12 schools, including 46 staff and 40 students, with 356 people in quarantine and 438 who are self-monitored.
  • The Health Department received no new death certificates during the past day related to the pandemic. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in the county remains at 194.
  • DCHD has confirmed 12,595 county residents have recovered from the illness.
