OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The Douglas County Health Department announced 24 new coronvirus cases on Friday.
The new cases involve 12 men and 12 women between 23 and 104 years of age. Eleven of the people had contact to a known case, five new cases involve community spread, and details are pending on eight of the cases.
One of the new cases is hospitalized.
Douglas County now has seen 222 cases of COVID-19 as well as six deaths.
County health officials urge social distancing, shopping for seniors and exercising at home or with social distancing in mind.
The health department's information line will be closed on Easter Sunday. The United Way’s 2-1-1 Resource Hotline will be available and the Nebraska DHHS COVID-19 information line will be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at (402) 552-6645 on Sunday.
