Douglas Co. passes 59,000 COVID-19 cases mark

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Thursday, the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) reported a lower number of COVID-19-related deaths than the previous day.

The department reported five additional deaths for a total of 570 to date. On Wednesday, the department reported 10 additional deaths.

In a release, the department said, “A woman in her late 70s and two women in their 80s have passed. A man in his 70s and a man in his 80s were also lost.”

The DCHD also reported 372 additional COVID-19 infections for a total of 372 for a total of 59,156 to date.

The number of residents who have recovered from the virus is now up to 44,034.
