OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The Douglas County Health Department said the coronavirus positivity rate in the county for the week that ended Saturday was 34.5 percent.
That's a slight increase from last week's 33.8 percent rate, which was a nearly seven percent increase from the week before that.
The county also announced 192 additional cases on Sunday, pushing the total since the pandemic began in March to 56,301.
No new coronavirus deaths were reported in the county on Sunday, leaving that figure at 518. According to the county, 38,388 residents have recovered from coronavirus.
According to the most recent local hospital report received Saturday, medical and surgical beds were at 76% occupancy with 367 beds available and adult ICU beds are occupied at a 67% rate with 110 beds available.
There were 246 individuals hospitalized who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, with 78 of them receiving adult ICU level care. There are also 41 more persons of interest (generally waiting for test results).
Thirty-nine individuals who were confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19 were on ventilators.
