Four COVID-19 deaths reported in NE Tuesday, 478 total cases

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced two COVID-19 related deaths in Douglas County, one in Hall County and another in Custer County on Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 12.

The Douglas County deaths involve a woman in her 70's and another in her 90's, both with underlying health conditions.

Other deaths involve a woman in her 60's from Hall County and a man in his 80's from Custer County.

According to the DHHS, there are 478 cases of COVID-19 in Nebraska as of Tuesday night.

The DHHS has an information line open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at 402-552-6645.

Any calls outside those hours are handled by the United Way's hotline at 2-1-1.
