OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — This morning, all Iowa Hy-Vee stores will be handing out free masks.
The plan is to hand out between 500 and 1,000 masks at each location, starting at 7am.
The masks will be given out on a first-come- first-served basis until the stores run out.
The 75,000 Hanes Defender masks are similar to the ones given to truckers in Nebraska.
They are being provided thanks to a partnership between the company, Iowa health officials and the CDC.
