OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Women's Half Marathon and 5K Road Race presented by Hy-Vee has been postponed until August, but is also offering virtual race options. The Papillion Half Marathon has also been postponed because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Omaha event will now be held on August 30, 2020, but the managers of the race say they will offer virtual race options for those who cannot make the date. They say to email registration@pem.events, and they will move you into a virtual event that you can run from anywhere in the world between April 26 and May 26.
After running on a local trail, around your neighborhood or on a treadmill, you can email your results to the event company, and they will then mail you a women's cut technical T-shirt and finisher medal
The City of Papillion also announced that it would be postponing its half marathon that was scheduled for May 17. The city said a new date would be announced soon.
