Three Rivers Public Health Dept. announces first COVID-19 death in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) — The Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) announced the first COVID-19 related death in Washington County on Monday.

The death involved a man in his 90's with underlying health conditions.

Additionally, the health department has identified another case of coronavirus involving a Dodge County man in his 60's who is self-isolating at home.

The health department said the case is community acquired and all close contacts will self-quarantine and be monitored twice daily by health officials.

This is Dodge County's 11th COVID-19 case, bringing the total in the 3RPHD jurisdiction to 37 cases.

A Dodge County case identified Sunday involves a female in her 30's, also considered to be community acquired.
