OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — UPDATE: On Wednesday, William Billings received his refund.
William Billings was supposed to head out on a Norweigan Cruise Lines cruise in mid-March.
Of course, that didn't happen. But he figured he'd have his $3,500 back well before July.
That wasn't the case. But Norweigan Cruise Lines told KMTV the refund was processed July 3 and should soon arrive.
"As you may imagine, we recently canceled an unprecedented number of cruises due to the pandemic which has resulted in a much higher than normal volume of refund requests to be processed," a spokesperson said. "Refunds are being handled by voyage departure date and according to the date that refunds were initially requested. Our team is working tirelessly to finalize these refunds to the original form of payment....We thank our guests for their patience and understanding during these unique circumstances.”
