OPD investigating two Thursday shootings

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department is investigating two shootings Thursday afternoon.

The first one happened around 2:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 30th & Parker Street. On arrival, authorities found 57-year-old Dorcas Woody with a gunshot wound. She said she was standing on the corner of 30th & Parker when she heard gunshots coming from the K & J Express. The victim was transported to UNMC with non life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect information available.

Around 3:45 p.m., authorities were called to the area of 27th and Crown Point Avenue. On arrival, officers met two victims with non life-threatening gunshot wounds; 21-year-old Marcellis Minor Jr and 20-year-old Allen Star. Witnesses at the scene said two suspects got out of a silver SUV and began shooting at the victims as they were walking down the street. No other suspect information is available.

Both investigations are ongoing.
