$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska has a new millionaire. One Powerball player is holding a winning ticket worth $1 million.

The winning ticket was sold at a Casey's near 168th and Maple. The winner is the 25th $1 million ticket sold since Nebraska added the million-dollar prize in 2012.

Winning tickets expire 180 days after drawing, and prizes of $20,000 or more must be claimed in person at Lottery headquarters in Lincoln. Players are encouraged to check their tickets at any Nebraska Lottery retailer, online at nelottery.com, or by calling the Lottery office.

Last week, a $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Bellwood.
