BENNINGTON, Neb. (KMTV) — An 18-month-old girl died in a single vehicle accident in Douglas County over the weekend.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a private property in Bennington just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities said a pickup struck the 18-month-old girl, later identified as Hazel Hannum. She died at the hospital.
Authorities said the driver of the pickup was the child's father, Joshua Hannum.
Chaplains from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were called to assist.
The incident remains under investigation.
