A call for a domestic disturbance resulted in two arrests for growing marijuana, deputies say.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says two people were arrested Sunday after deputies responded to a call for a domestic disturbance around 7 p.m. near 189th and Anne streets.
“Once inside the residence, responding deputies immediately noticed the strong odor of raw marijuana. In the basement, deputies discovered a marijuana grow operation with six marijuana plants and grow lights,” officials said in a statement Monday.
Morris Hoddy, 53, and Ayanna Alvarez, 44, face charges of manufacturing marijuana and no tax stamp.
