COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (KMTV) — Council Bluffs Police say a 2-year-old girl died Saturday after being hit by a vehicle as it was pulling into a driveway.
At 1:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Lincoln Ave for an injury accident.
Upon arrival, Council Bluffs Fire Department were on scene treating a 2-year-old girl with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the girl was transported to Nebraska Medicine where she later died.
Preliminary investigation shows she was hit by a vehicle pulling into the driveway, according to CBPD.
