OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A crash on Sunday afternoon near Fremont left one young woman seriously injured and another dead.
Around 3:20 p.m., Dodge County Sheriff's deputies were called to a one-vehicle accident on County Rd. 23 near Rosedale Rd.
They say 21-year-old Carissa Jourdan was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado when she lost control of the vehicle and ran into a ditch. Jourdan had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital via helicopter.
Dominque Hocij, 20, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Neither women were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office. The accident remains under investigation.
