462 pounds of marijuana seized during traffic stop in Omaha

Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported Thursday that it had seized more than 400 pounds of marijuana and hash oil during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 80. 

About 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy pulled over the driver of 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe hauling a U-Haul trailer along eastbound I-80, near 108th Street, for a traffic violation, according the Sheriff's Office press release.

After the deputy became suspicious during the stop, a K9, Fletch, was deployed, the release states. The dog led to a search of the rear of the SUV as well as the trailer, the release states, at which time 462 pounds of marijuana was found in numerous plastic bags, along with hundreds of vials containing hash oil

Ebony Douglas, 31, of California, who said she was en route to Michigan, was arrested and booked on charges of marijuana possession with the intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver; and failure to affix a tax stamp.
