Omaha, Neb. (KMTV) - On Monday morning, Buffett Cancer Center director Ken Cowan, Nebraska Medical Center chancellor Dr. Jeffery P. Gold and Nebraska Medicine CEO Dr. Dan DeBehnke held a press conference to recognize the opening of the Buffett Cancer Center on June 5.
The $323 million facility will re-define the cancer-care experience, according to DeBehnke.
Former Vice President Joe Biden will serve as the keynote speaker at the dedication of the center on Tuesday.
"Joe Biden's visit tomorrow adds legitimacy to what we're doing," DeBehnke said. "We are taking things to the next level."
