OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - A large thunderstorm ripped through the Omaha metro and surrounding area. The inclement weather forced the College World Series to cancel its Fan Fest and at around 9 p.m., more than 70,000 people lost power in the metro area.
Overall, several counties in and around Omaha spent a majority of the night in a thunderstorm watch or warning.
A large tree fell and blocked both lanes of a two-lane road in Omaha. The fall was in a wooded area near 232nd and Q.

In Bellevue, many homes suffered a lot of damage. It is unclear if it was from wind or a tornado.

In Plattsmouth, there was significant wind damage and large parts of the city were without power for extended periods of time.
In Omaha, there was flooding on major streets, including 64th and Center near Baxter Arena.
