LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Today, Governor Pete Ricketts signed legislative bill 57, which keeps cities from prohibiting short-term home rentals like those provided on Airbnb. The bill was approved with a 46-0 vote by the legislature.
The bill also includes regulations regarding taxes to rental services and reporting to and collection by the Tax Commissioner.
