OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Alamo Drafthouse announced on Wednesday that their La Vista location is temporarily closed.
The cinema cites a lack of upcoming major new releases and decreased overall demand as reasons for the closure. The Alamo Drafthouse adds that they are doing their best to conserve their resources as COVID-19 continues to "devastate the film industry."
All upcoming screenings at the location have been canceled and guests will receive a full refund in the coming days.

"This is a terribly difficult and disappointing decision, but we’re hopeful that by pausing now, we’ll be able to reopen La Vista and Midtown later this year once a steady stream of new releases resumes," said a news release on their website.
The Alamo Drafthouse said they hope it's a very brief hiatus.
