The Saunders County Sheriff's Office confirms one person is dead in a two vehicle crash near Nebraska Highway 109 and County Road R. That is south of Cedar Bluffs.
Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stuckenholtz confirms a passenger van carrying youth church members was heading northbound on Highway 109, when the driver tried to make a u-turn and was struck by another vehicle just after 8 p.m.
The driver of that vehicle has died, a passenger is in critical condition. Six people in the church van were transported to the hospital. Five people with minor injuries, one in the church van has possible critical injuries.
The person killed has not been identified.
