In just a few days, 8 teams from around the nation will come to Omaha to compete for the NCAA Men’s Baseball National Championship.
But in the meantime Baseball Village is getting underway to make sure thousands of fans have a good time.
Right now crews are outside TD Ameritrade Stadium transforming the parking lot outside as the place to be.
“Everybody can have a great time, there's a little bit of something for everyone,” said Jenny Peters, marketing director for Baseball Village.
Peters said it's a family-friendly fun center during the daytime party central for the adults at night.
This year there's a few new items to look out for.
“We have a coffee car ,we have a pickle guy, we have pizza by the slice you know things that we have changed over the years to kind of tweak it just to overall enhance the time for fans,” said Peters.
Baseball Village is even a good place to view the games if you don't have tickets.
“The video walls are incredible, people want to come and watch the game on a larger than life screen,” said Peters.
There's also a full swing batting cage to work on your baseball game.
And new vendors too.
“We’re excited to be here,” said first time CWS vendor Beth Mavelle.
It's a homecoming for Mavelle who is originally from Omaha but now lives in Jacksonville, Flordia here to sell bracelets.
“There's always a million people around our booth, very sparkly things you'll have a great time,” said Mavelle.
