OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Police in Bellevue are investigating a death involving a man who was stabbed during an alleged vehicle theft.
According to a statement given on Wednesday, police were called to the 5000 block of Glasgow Ave. around 1 a.m. where a man said he had confronted two men he believed were attempting to break into his vehicle. The man said he stabbed one of the men before both men left in a 2003 Infiniti.
The Infiniti, which was being driven by the injured man, crashed a house at the 7600 block of S. 48th St. a few minutes later. No one inside the home was injured.
The driver, however, was discovered to be deceased. He has yet to be identified, but police say his name will be released once he is identified and family is made aware.
The Infinit is believed to have been stolen, and after searching the area, police could not locate the passenger of the vehicle.
