OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department says a Bennington woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash last night near 144th and Fort Streets.
Officers were called to the area just after 8 p.m. last night where they found a vehicle that appears to have left the roadway and struck a tree.
They do not believe alcohol or excessive speed were factors but do say a medical condition and lack of seat belt are being investigated as possible contributing factors.
The driver, 64-year-old Diane Downey of Bennington, was pronounced dead at Nebraska Medicine.
