COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (KMTV) — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is making his first stop in Iowa following the announcement that he is running for president in 2020.
The first rally of Sanders' presidential campaign was Saturday in his home state of New York.
Thursday, March 7, he heads to Iowa--a state known for its important role in the election process.
Sanders will speak in Council Bluffs at the Mid-America center.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
