A bicyclist is hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck near 28th and Dodge Sunday morning.
It happened just before 9 a.m.
Investigators say a 2018 Ford F150 was northbound on 28th Street crossing Dodge Street to enter the highway on-ramp, when the bicyclist entered the roadway eastbound, and collided with the side of the pickup.
The bicyclist wasn't wearing a helmet and is identified by OPD as Jeremy Abboud. He is suffering serious head and chest injuries.
The driver of the truck, identified as Francisco Castro-Hernandez, told investigators he had a green light at the time of the collision.
