OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - McDonald's restaurants across the state will sell Husker flags to help support pediatric patients and their families.

From 6 until 9 a.m. Friday, Ronald McDonald House Charities will partner with the restaurant and Husker IMG Sports Marketing for the fundraiser "Big Red Friday."

All proceeds go directly to the charity, which houses about 20 families with children receiving treatments for life threatening illnesses.

"We can keep the lights on," said the charity's executive director, Lindsey Rai Reasner earlier this month. "We can provide dinner. We can provide food in our pantry. We can provide opportunities for families to get away for a moment and go see things like the zoo."

Each flag will cost $5.
