Black Votes Matter raising money for 2019 Black History Tour

The Black Lives Matter Institute is looking to raise $45,000 for the 2019 Face to Face with Black History Tour. The organization is holding a banquet to raise fund on Oct 12 at the Scott Conference Center.  

The 2018 tour included 40 Omaha students touring the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Birmingham, Selma, the New Lynching Memorial in Montgomery, Edmond Petty’s Bridge and Atlanta.  

The 2019 tour will be in collaboration with Bellevue University to better track and improve student outcomes. It is scheduled for June.
