Blane McCann to stay Westside superintendent

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Westside Community Schools superintendent Blane McCann is staying put after he was a finalist for the same job in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. 

The Shawnee Mission School District has nearly 30,000 students. It was announced Monday night that Michael Fulton, the superintendent of Pattonville Schools just outside St. Louis, got the job. 

McCann has been the superintendent at Westside since 2012.  Prior to that, he served as a superintendent in Sherwood, Wisconsin for nine years.
