SIDNEY, Neb. (KMTV) — Update:
All highways in the panhandle are now open, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Additionally, I-80 has re-opened in both directions in the area.
ALL HWYs in the Panhandle are OPEN! Many thanks to our partners @NEStatePatrol, @ColoradoDOT, @WYDOT_I80 @WYDOTNews and our local city and county maintenance teams. Maintaining a safe and reliable transportation system takes a team and Nebraska has a pretty great one! pic.twitter.com/f16u26YTKs— Nebraska DOT (@NebraskaDOT) December 1, 2019
The Nebraska State Patrol says I-80 and Hwy 30 has closed for both directions of travel due to blizzard conditions.
The closure extends from Wyoming to mile marker 102 (the I-76 split).
Travel is not advised in the panhandle at this time.
